Penang Botanical Gardens occupy a 29 ha. Site in a valley described as “an amphitheatre of hills” covered with luch tropical rain-forest. Being the only garden of its kind in Malaysia, it is Penang’s unique natural heritage and serves as a green lung for this metropolitan state. Being being a repository of flora and fauna, the garden also features a waterfall. Next, visit to Penang Butterfly Farm which spans 0.8 hectares and is home to 3000 Living Specimens from over 50 species of colourful butterflies, frogs, scorpions and other insects. It features lily pond, rock garden, tunnel, bubbling mud pool and artificial water falls.
